2-Hour Delay - Tues., Dec. 9

Wilson County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Tues., Dec. 9 to allow for travel when it is light outside in case of ice on the roads. This decision was made in collaboration with Wilson County Emergency Management. High schools begin at 9:30 a.m., elementary schools begin at 10 a.m., middle schools at 10:30 a.m. and the early colleges begin at 11:30 a.m. Central Office staff have a 1-hour delay. 

Because of the delayed schedule, we will not have Before School Care. A “grab and go” breakfast will be available for students at the traditional schools upon arrival. Students can be dropped off 30 minutes prior to the start time. The Daycares and Pre-K Programs also have a 2-hour delay. After school activities and athletics will resume on a regular schedule.
